Was the emptiness of his eyes supposed to be symbolic? Even if it was not, it suits it. . . I like it. Sometimes, despite atrocities done by a person, their forms or works, whether good or bad, can be used as an art themselves. . .

The eyes... I wish I remember... probably just a stylish detail
good or bad, we must remember, the atrocities of the past must not be forgotten, mainly because of that that I felt comfortable drawing Hitler, I just wish I knew why I did the eyes like that... LOL

I wish there were more expression on his face. Hitler had many faces besides this, like when he was giving a speach shouting like a banshee or pretending to be benelovent.
Is there a reson his expression doesnt change like in of the rest 4 part portraits?

well, in fact I based my drawings on some pictures I found of him, didn't had mush to choose, since the larger images with better detail were of portraits shots, always with this face...
but that you had made me think of it, I guess it would be cool if one of them were more emotive like screaming and stuff

It's a very characterestic element of him. That's the most spot on representation of his rule I can think of. Making thousands of people to share his madness.

I don't know if he cant consider him mad, he was quit lucid of what he was doing, a grand part of intellectuals say that he had a very high IQ, he was a very smart guy.
The problem was that the country was so deep in economic and political troubles that he was smart enough to pick up on the peoples desperations to lift him self up to the power

But in this situtaion, yes, he was quite effective, at least in the earlier part of the conflict. But his occult interests, and a few other things suggests that not every of his decesions was based on a sane ground.

I consider mad everybody who is willing to lead a country. I cant grasp the idea why would anyone even accept such high responsibility, unless there's no one else to carry the burden.

It's quite hard to have the guts and make a deviation about this guy, but what the hell! He's part of history, wheter we like it or not.
He was a complete fuc*** up guy, but the fact that you chose him gives your work crediblity and seriousness.
AtΓ£o vamos ao tΓͺ?

one scary thing I heard about Hitler was that when an assassination plot against him fell through, he had the traitors hung by piano wire and had it filmed, so he could watch it in quiet moments...
a very sick guy to have been in charge of the best organised army since the Romans... and after wasting that army he resorted to wasting the soldiers he'd made of old men and boys

haha, thereβs all kind of strange stories around the guy, mainly around is death, cause some say suicide others say he was killed during an air attack, and others say murdered by is own ppl.
For more strange he was, and even though it's claimed he had a kinky sexual life, we was described as a polite and educated man, damn, would you believe thatβs true? They say it isβ¦

Great piece. It does lack the clean lines that your other work has though.
He was evil beyond imagination but I do admire his ability to charm so many people into doing his will. He did not do so with fear and I think that is fascinating. Apparently Saddam Hussein was an incredibly charming man too.
So there you go if you want to be an evil dictator be ridiculously charming. This is where Dr Evil failed.

clean lines? I always thought I made slumpy lines... but yes, this one is very different of all the other work I did, many things have develop in the way I drawn.
many intellect ppl consider Hitler as a genius, even thought he used his talent for evil. but it's true, only a brain like him had the knowledge to make so many ppl go under his influence, and believe blindly on his speeches.
I've researched a lot on him while doing the work, and I discovered some stuff I would never connect with such a horrible person like him.

Exactly - he was an absolutely amazing person who used his intellect and charm for evil. BUT he truly believed he was doing the work of good - he was clinically insane.

ya, that seems to be an element in common on terrorists and dictators, they believe their action are in name of a greater good for all.
But then again who wins the war writes the history an became the good guys, thank god he did not win, just imagine the world full of blond white ppl... that would be a damn uninteresting society.

good remark, when I was working on the drawings I notice I have changed the way how I draw the eyes of my characters... some strange evolution I did... so I even thought of making some iris on them, but I guess I like this empty eyes they have.
