Yay, managed to finish my entry for ConnyC28 DTIYS contest!

ConnyC28 gave us free liberty to basically do whatever we wanted as long as we kept certain things in like the hair color, eye color and a few other things to. So for mine I decided to do a guy, a fabulous looking one at that. Mostly because I just came off of finishing a picture of a girl ( I haven't posted that one yet and won't until mid or late September) and felt like doing something different and since ConnyC28 gave us that option I went with it. 😁
Originally I was going to do something more different with the hair style not wanting it to be too similar to ConnyC28 but while I was working on the face I realized the left eye really wasn't going to look right no matter what I tried so this is what it is. I also struggled to get the two colors in the hair to be more distinguishable from one another -- I used a teal color and a light blue -- ugh, it's all right though you can't really tell the difference very well. I ended up also doing something I don't usually do when coloring in my pictures and that is adding lighting, sometimes I'll do shading but not really lighting but after doing my last picture which I used this technique for I thought why not try it again? Came out all right looking I think. 🙃
Another thing that wasn't really planned but was more like spur-of-the-moment when doing him was the robotic arm, I would say I have no clue why I went with it but, no, I think I do know it's because I've been thinking about doing a certain character of mine again with a robotic arm but haven't done it yet. 😏
The guitar is also on the somewhat large size but that's all right since I imagine it has to be fairly big if he's going to make "thunder" tho' I think drums would of been better for that. But there was no way I was going to try doing drums! 🤣
And originally for the background I was going to do a regular stage but it felt a little too boring to me so didn't want go with it, I also didn't feel like doing anything too complicated so I went with clouds and cloud squirrels! Haha, really didn't think I would do cloud squirrels again! As you can see that's what my avatar/profile pic is. 😉

First time I actually entered one of these contests and probably be the last one too, lol! (weeelll -- unless if 3Fangs or someone else I kinda know host one then maybe.) I had fun working on this picture especially since at the time around entering the contest I felt like drawing something and wasn't sure on what at the time so, yes, this definitely was a nice change of pace. Although to be honest, as much as I absolutely love ConnyC28 art I truly hope I won't win anything because then I would have the hard decision on what I would want to see her draw and that list is waaaaaaayyy to long. I literally would love to see anything by her so technically I always win. XD
