They asked if Spanx's fur coat changes during the seasons like weasels in the wild.

Maybe? It really depends on how artificial he is. I would assume he's a flesh and blood weasel created via dna manipulating or other scientific theories but he could also be an android with synthetic skin.

Whatever the case, I like the idea of him having white fur in the winter and him experiencing it for the first time. Insert here a drawing of his fur shedding so bad that he has bald patches, being either freaked out or unamused as Redmond goes "What the heck happened? You look like you got into a fight with a wood chipper and lost."
