Description
A painting of an ornate winged scarab beetle found in Tutankhamun's tomb with gouache and gold paint on some papyrus. I also went around the scarab with a fineliner pen to try and make it stand out a lil' bit more.I did this originally for a project in college which was about the Ancient Egyptians (obviously, lol). XD

beautiful work. . . have you done anything on papyrus w/water colour? I have a scroll of it I've been saving for something special but it's a little difficult to get my hands on and rather expensive so I've been reluctant to use it w/o knowing what effects my watercolours and ink washes will have on it

Thanks
Erm, no I haven't tried watercolour on Papyri yet so I wouldn't know. May I suggest you trim a tiny piece of the papyri scroll an test it out?
