I already tried to draw this character in the "transformers Animated" fashion here . But it was just a basic redrawing staying true to the original toy design. I wanted to go further here by totally redesigning him like it is usually done in the Transformers Animated for the characters from G1 cartoon.I tried to make him more thin on the waist department by moving the car's doors and windows on the arms like I already did there .
It's surely not as good and dynamic as the originals TF Animated design but I hope it's close enougth to fool some unwarned people about this being official to the real cartoon
.It is still a static profile type pose but I'll soon do some action poses when I'll have more Gobots redesigned.

I like how you incorporated the windows onto Turbo's forearms. They almost seem like they would be a shield and/or a weapon for his character, I even like how you did his chest and biceps for his design, he definatly has that look of being a hard hitting fighter like in the original cartoon.
He seems ot stay true to his face aswell, not too clown like as the original, but still keeps some of the original design, even the bit of grew around his cheeks give him the looks of having an unshaven feature.
I love his car form, it seems like a cute contrast too the bad ass character that is Turbo X3. I'm starting to get excited about these TF animated design to the Gobots. I'm trying to get myself into it aswell, I have 2 weeks left for finals and once that's done I'm going to take part in this idea.
As I look at this Turbo it seems like he could use a weapon, not just is guns, something like a twin bladed axe or some kind of weapon that symbolizes strength. Turbo, to me, always seemed like he was eager to go into a fight and came off as the strong warrior of the cast.

I indeed tried to be as close as possible to the original cartoon characterisation (even if I don't know him that much). I'm thinking about a weapon as well, but still hesitating.
as for trying your own going on Animated Gobots, you could try to join the DA club we're preparing when it'll be ready.

There will be two versions of him. One from the original toy and another from the toon version.

the standard response about the female gobots are they are 'fugly'. at least the female gobots once had a... working input/output device and opted for powerful instead of cheesecake bodies.
