Description
For a while now, I’ve wanted to do two things: Try draw something in this style (Didn’t end up as good as I’d like to, because i totally rushed it) and use this reference photo!I was thinking about Hidan (Naruto) at first, but in the end I picked Levi (Snk), because I really like the guy, and he deserves some more fan art where he is not entirely feminine.
I know there is some mistakes, and my coloring is not the greatest here, because I wasn’t really sure how to do it… But I still like it enough for an upload.
If you are a fan Enjoy
--------
Shingeki no Kyojin (attack on titan) Is created by Hajime Isayama, and this is only a fan art. Watch this anime. It’s the shit! I finished reading the manga, and I don’t get why people say it’s overhyped. It’s so fucking Epic. I still find the anime better, surprisingly, for the added things, and also for the kick ass soundtrack.
The reference photo is here bodystocks.deviantart.com/art/…

I don't mind the coloring. I actually appreciate messy coloring if it's done right, and it works for this drawing! I also prefer the anime; the animation is beautiful and it's cooler to see the gear in action rather than in still pictures on a page. It's because it's so hugely popular I think that people say it's overhyped. And I like the fact that it doesn't SCREAM anime, at least to me. Yeah, it has all the normal tropes: angry main protagonist who just wants revenge for the death of his parents, stoic badass with a horrible past (mikasa and levi) giant monsters that destroy the city, humanity's fate put in the hands of teenagers... but I think it appeals to a wider audience than your average anime fan. Any time I've seen or heard of someone who isn't into anime watch it, they always seem to end up wanting more. (My younger brother laughed his ass off at the potato scene when I was watching it last summer on toonami lol.)

Haha, Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the comment. It feels like I lack color in this drawing and as a whole it didn't work as I wanted it too. It was a first try - they are never perfect. *sigh* Bu I am really glad you like it, since I wondered if it has some redeeming qualities.
The anime also has better art than the manga, though Isayama does what he can, and you can certainly see the improvement. I've even wondered if it is the same person drawing it at some point. I do read the manga and enjoy it completely though. Can't wait to see some of the scenes animated.
My roommate's mom liked it, so I get what you mean - many people outside of anime liked it. I think it is because it lacks the weirdness of anime, that most other (also great and not so) anime have. Plus - the fan service is to the minimum, the story is the love child of a threesome between the Walking dead, Lost and GoT (Not a bad combination at all) and the characters are not as bad as people say. Especially as the manga goes on - We've seen Levi showing some emotion, so did Erwin. Hanji is fucking badass. I love the way Armin is developed! And of course... Krista - she changed the most if you ask me. I won't go into details to prevent spoilers, but the thing is going well. Some people simply don't like that the story in the past arc took a political turn and they wanted their titan fights. I on the other hand really liked the fights in this arc. To each their own I suppose. After all, I couldn't really like Akame Ga kill even though people love it.

I've compared Attack on Titan to all of those series' as well at some point too! Lost mostly because of all the questions raised that are never answered or take forever to be answered lol (To think I watched that show weekly when it was new and never missed an episode...*oh the days before netflix*)
I feel the same about the characters. For me, it took a while to really catch on to the individual personalities, but it's like when I was into Final Fantasy VII and I have feelings for so many of the characters it's hard to say who my next favorite is after my first (because everyone has one character they like above all the others lol). Yeah, the story is more solid, and it focuses more on the struggles of humanity and the characters fighting for it, rather than focusing on the characters themselves. We get enough fan service outside of the canon story though, for those of us who care enough to follow all of those extras, what with interviews from Isayama, OVAs, spinoff novels and more, that I can't really complain too much
I felt the same after I watched Tokyo Ghoul. A lot of people really like it, but I just didn't care for it.

Yeah - It is the most similar to Lost if you ask me. Let's just home AOT will not end the same way
Actually there can be a lot of things to catch about the characters as the anime goes on. Armin being covered in blood in the second opening, Levi can't draw for shit - It can be seen when he was explaining he'd cut Eren's limbs if he loose control. Also, not only he does not regret his decisions - he never blames anyone for making a wrong choice - for example Dieter. Annie apologising repeatedly after the mission where Eren sealed the entrance, and showing her tired and not really happy after that etc - It all points out that she does not really wanna kill people but there is something bigger than her in play. Mikasa didn't tell Eren, that Levi saved him from the F Titan.
This list can go one for a long time but it might get spoilerish. I love all those small, and not so small details. The characters have room for improvement, but they are not as bad, as many claimed.
The story is a bit more important though - cause there can't be anything undone there.
I am not much into final fantasy, but hell do I love their visuals!!! Thing looks epic! I still wonder why Sephiroth went Insane though. What did he read in this library, to make a 180 turn for the worse... He is my favorite in final fantasy - he is the reason I like guys with white hair so much, but this I never managed to get.
I still haven't watched Tokio Ghoul, though I plan to - If not for else, to just see what are everyone talking about.

See, I miss little details like that. They just go right over my head. That's another reason why I feel like it's one of those things you also have to watch twice, because then you pick up on little details you missed the first time before you learned the truth.
Yes! I played FFXIII and felt that the game was crap, but the visuals were the one redeeming quality it had going for it. I just wish Square Enix would put more effort into the actual gameplay and story and spend less effort on the visuals though sometimes. To use an analogy I heard once, you can light a piece of crap in the middle of the street with excellent lighting, shoot it in 3D HD quality from an interesting angle, but it will still be a piece of crap.
Well... Sephiroth went crazy because he learned he was the result of genetic experiments performed by Shinra. He was made up of DNA from Jenova, an unearthed, comatose, Ancient Cetra, which were an alien race that populated the planet centuries in the past. The real Sephiroth actually died before the events of the game, having gone into the planet's Lifestream and the Sephiroth we see in the game is actually himself projecting his image through Jenova. At least, that is my understanding, there's a few plot holes in that game that don't make a whole lot of sense, and I guess they tried to clear them up with the spinoff games, but basically, I think that's the gist, lol.
