I was updating my Sta.sh with more refs of my OCs and I realized I didn't have any great refs for Contraflux. (In fact, I don't think I've even posted her on here once!) This calls for a little background information:Contraflux is a Decepticon scientist and assassin. She specializes in developing weapons, particularly explosives and bioweapons. She's also best friends with Curie . (I know it's not much, but I hope it suffices for now! :'D)
I have quite a bit of other art that I completed over spring break that I'll be posting throughout the week. I don't want to post a ton and then go AWOL again, so I'm spreading it out this time.

i mean i could always use help on bios :'D i pretty much only have what i wrote in the description of this, plus some basic trivia and her friendship with curie. i'm still trying to figure out her relationships to the other characters and her significance to the story >_>

First of all, define "Decepticon". Is she a war veteran? Because as far as I know about your story, it takes place after the war. Is she working with Tiger Lily and such? Or is it different and somehow I missed something this important whoops
Also, I hate to say this, but give her at least one flaw. She sounds so awesome, but she also needs to be a balanced character. Also, why is she a Decepticon? That's pretty darn important to think about. She sounds so nice and awesome, why is she evil? What motivation does she have? Maybe she's sadistic, or maybe just a sociopath? I don't know. But you have to make her evil somehow.
I love your trivia so much I love how she plays the harp that's awesome.
and I hate to say this but I don't know Curie that well. Give me a summary?

No, she's not a war veteran. There's only a couple characters who were alive during the war (grasshopper , astra , aqua regia , clarus videre, foresight, steorra, and maybe a few more--the ones with links are the only ones i've drawn so far). The first three were about Bee's age during it; the last three were closer to adulthood.

I know, right now she sounds a lot like a Mary Sue >_> I definitely have to work on that.
I'm thinking of making her a mercenary that stuck with the Cons because of personal attachments (read: Curie). But she still needs a backstory in order to get to that mercenary occupation.

Ohh jeez yeah sure! :'D Unlike Contraflux, Curie actually has a backstory. When she was a child, she was the victim of an acid attack that left her blind and semi-disfigured. This left her pretty isolated from other people, since she 1. couldn't see them and 2. they thought she was strange, to say the least. She's pretty much a loner whose bitter at the world because she was never accepted (until she joined the Cons). She found her purpose as a scientist, creating technology that helped her mobility and eventually became part of the tracking systems that the Cons use (like sonar and radar-type things). When Contraflux joined the Cons, she became Curie's lab partner. Her knowledge of weapons and explosives combined with Curie's knowledge led them to create some pretty effective weapons. Wow, the more I write this the more I'm figuring out both of their characters. In fact, I think I might have just gotten Contraflux's backstory!!
I think I'll make her someone who's still trying to find herself, but also holds grudges forever. She's got a sense of moral justice, but it's overidden by her stubbornness and vengefulness. For example, she got kicked out of private school for beating up another kid, but she did it because the other kid was a bully. Basically, she knows right from wrong, but she wants to correct it her way. When she got out of school (public school, now), she decided to go to medical school, but left after her roommate discovered she was trying to construct a bioweapon. She went to a police academy; she was deemed too erratic to graduate. I think I'm going to have one of her classmates (who's in cahoots with the Cons) approach her and ask if she wants to join, promising her revenge on the people who kicked her out of the academy. And then the rest is history.
ok i just want to thank you for making me describe curie because as i was writing that i kept thinking of more details to add to contraflux's backstory and then lo and behold i actually have a balanced, (semi) developed character!! ahhh i'm so happy <3 thank you so much for helping <333

Aww, I can't - she's too cute for an evil Con scientist. xD I wanna hug her. xD But really, I love what you did with the original design. I'd like some of my OCs to meet this chara if possible, she seems interesting. Draw her with Curie sometimes, I'm curious about those two together. ^^
