Description Careful soldiers, you don't want to slip and fall into the enemy's nest! There's probably a thousand Krans ready to tear you in pieces, given we're outnumbered 5 to 1000! Better get some massive ordnance!

This is what planet Yeron 2, where SSR fights a terrestrial war with Krans might actually look like.

This really HAS a NICE feeling to it... and I like the depth of the artwork here. It's a very believable impression of a very far and wide landscape. ^^

The only aspect I could critizise is the gap there, filled... with water? Is there a small river of some sort? The idea of this gap being filled is good... but the white lines, giving us the impression of waves and flowing water, are a little bit TOO fat! ^^"
Also, the pine trees (I guess so) at the left side of the picture look less believable than the ones at the right side!

BUT what the heck, I assime this was drawn very quickly and... the overall IMPRESSION is great! And that's what I like about it.
It ALSO reminds me of good old "Bob Ross" paintings....

Thanks!
The gap was my try of making the otherwise boring landscape a bit less boring and the glowy stuff inside is supposed to be Kran structures, what is hardly recognizable on the picture x)
Gotta learn a lot, as those were my first two paintings done like that
Now that I think about it... could such concept design be named "Neoimpresionism"? As it always tries to catch the feeling of the scene in the preliminary stages rather than exact stuff. Wanna draw more, just must think about what! x)

can't you just firebomb down the hole?

Well, that's what massive ordnance implies.
