Ok, since people seem to like the way I use colour pencils so much here goes a little tutorial!
Just as I promised!
I hope it is helpful! ^^PLEASE READ:
- IF YOU EVER RESORT TO THIS TUTORIAL OR USE TIPS FROM IT LET ME KNOW! ^^ I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE RESULTS!
- Sorry for the poor quality of the photos...
- This is just a SUGGESTION! I don't really know how to use pencils properly: this is just merely stuff I've learned from my own personal experience using this medium and I'm completely self-taught!

This is a great tutorial. I love how you include that you use different kinds of colours for various things (e.g skin) and that was fresh!
I'm faving it, and will be practising.
PS: Do you have any suggestions for people using commercially-avaliable colourpencils like the Faber Castell range?

I think most people Use different tones as I do with pencils, the just might forget to mention in tutorials...then again there aren't many colour pencil tutorials, which is a shame....
I think all pencils work the same, dispite of the brand, maybe some need more layers or something, but I think for the most part, the tutorial will work for all

Now I want to get out my colored pencils and practice coloring this way! (I use Prismacolor - I love them, though I've never tried Caran d'Ache...)

olha isto veio.me mm a calhar! Fui hj comprar Caran D'ache e um dakeles blocos de desenho e precisava duns conselhos quanto a isto XD
So tenho uma dúvida, sabes como e que posso fazer como se o abjecto que quero pintar fique com um tom que parece k brilha? Ja tentei, mas nao consegui e nem desconfio XD

Now I have only 12 pencils from Derwnet, so it can be hard to try this way to color whit them

Wow, this is very helpful!C: Um...for the colored pencils, you bought ALL of those colored pencils in the pack or something? Or um each one seperatly? If it was the pack, how much does it cost, and if its each one by one...then how much does it cost?n___n;; Thank you~!

I bought a 120 pencil box
Mine are caran d'ache, which is a little expensive but really worth it. The box was 170 sothing euros at the time, I think.

Heheh, I usually don't use tutorials, but becuase Im usually stuck with crappy sketches, Ill try colouring them (due to lack of talent in Photoshop) with Pencil Crayons.
I can show you the finished picture once it's done, if you want.

Est tutorial um colega meu passou-m já à mt tempo e eu usei-o semp pa pintar com lápis de cor, só à uma semana é q soub q era teu

Claro, até porque nas fotos acaba por parecer ainda mais suave porque é não é tao ao perto...mas com paciencia e muitas camadas suaves vai lá

Gosh I will try this now, *usually colours really dark heehee and is VERY impatient* and I shall show you the reults if you wish ^^. (Also I draw on printer paper and use no good-brand pencils..besides these derwent onces I have but I have only 12 I don't mind though cos I have a whole draw full or more of pencils)

Printer paper is a really big no no! D: it's too thin and, in many cases kind of glossy, which is terrible! >__< it doesn't have to be really good paper, just a little better than printer lol. the same goes for pencils

Thanks a lot for the tutorial! It's really helpful! There aren't enough traditional artists out there!! I also have a question if you don't mind me asking! What colours did you use for the guys hair? I just recently dyed my bangs to that exact shade and I've been having a heck of a time finding pencil colours that match! It would be a super help! Keep up the great work!

On the guy's hair I used: blood red, dark red, wine colour,light orange, dark orange, black, dark brown and...that's all I think
