Okay. Out of ALL the Animorphs fanart out there, I am under the impression this is the only one featuring a Chee |: Wtf, did no one really care about these guys?For those who are adept at depriving themselves of things that rule, the Chee are androids from the book series Animorphs, created by the Pemalite race. They are freakishly powerful and strong, coming from a planet with much heavier gravity. Fortunately for the rest of the universe, the peace-loving Pemalites programmed them for good
No Chee will do an action that might cause another being harm. But this was pretty fun to do. The books never really gave you that specific a descrition of the Chee, other than saying they looked like "a skelatal dog walking on its hind legs--possibly a greyhound--with interlocking steel and ivory plates".
More specifically, this is fanart of the Chee who passes himself as Erek King. Just . . . minus the hologram

Okay, so, I just wanted to come back and comment on this piece, all these years later, to tell you that this drawing changed my life. A sappy sentiment, maybe. But I feel like it needs to be said.
A long, long time ago, I stumbled across your drawing while surfing DA (I don't even remember how I found it, only that I did), and I had a sudden and huge wave of Animorphs nostalgia, in part because this drawing was so completely and exactly how I had pictured a Chee that I pretty much couldn't think about anything other than re-reading book #10 as soon as humanly possible. I was in college at the time, and didn't have access to my Animorphs books, so I went and found a forum (RAF, I think somebody else in your comments mentioned it) where I could get the Animorphs fix that I so desperately needed.
All these years later, I am still a member there. I have honestly made some of the best friends I have on that site. I've traveled across the US meeting fellow Animorphs fans, and am currently planning trips to other countries for the same reason.
Anyway, the main point is: none of this would have happened if you hadn't drawn this. So, thank you.

Oh, they're standing griffin like creatures, that have little crests on their heads, and their tail is long and has a blade on the end of it. That's an Immortal.

OMG soo cool!! It looks great! Ever thought about doing the Elimist before he lost his body? If you haven't read the Elemist Chronicles you have no idea what I'm talking about, but it's a pretty cool book.

Thanks! I have indeed read the Ellimist Chronicles, and I did think about drawing him once. However, A) it's been so long I'd have to read the book again to be remotely accurate and B) from what I do remember, you basically got no info on what they looked like anyway (seriously, I don't think they ever described what those "pods" looked like). But, we'll see
