Here's my newest b/w quickie, maybe half an hour in total.Scene from 'Fool's Fate' by Robin Hobb. Fitz having his memories back and becoming complete again.
Have I mentioned before, that Fitz was blind?

Amazing work. I've just finished reading the Tawny Man Trilogy and I couldn't have pictured this particular instant in a better way...
So thrilled to know RH is working on a final Fitz and The Fool Trilogy, and I sincerely hope Fitz will overcome his blindness, this time.
Ending of Tawny Man made me both glad that Fitz got to be happy and at last tie up all the loose ends, yet made me incredibly sad...
Hope you will also draw/paint illustrations of this last Trilogy

No need to mention : Fitz seems to be born blind...
You made a good choice qith the black and white, it fits the scene and gives a particulat atmosphere, like the time juste stopped for a few heartbeats.
Your Fool is really wonderful : he not only looks like I always imagine him while reading the books, but you also managed to put his feelings in the drawing...
As for Fitz, we can really feel his surprise. And you made him quite handsome.
So, congratulations for your amazing work ! I feel like you just pull them out of the pages of the books... and for this litle magic, you have my thanks !

In the first books of the Farseer Trilogy I thought Fitz belonged to Molly, but after I finished Fools Fate my opinion changed a lot... no I hate her ;O.

I agree with previous comments - you did a wonderful job capturing each's emotions! I love the Fool's expression...shame this scen didn't go where all the fangirls wanted!

But they HAVE kissed twice in the books! At the end of Assassin's Quest, after the Fool and Girl-on-a-Dragon save Fitz from Regal's coterie, before the Fool leaves again, he kisses Fitz on the mouth. and then, of course, in Fool's Fate when the Fool gives Fitz back his memories...

The only think I hated about the books... Beloved gets no happy ending. I wanted Fitz to love him back so badly. I hated seeing Beloved's heart broken in the end. You choose MOLLY over the one who loves you MOST in the WORLD?
Damn it.

And the most frustrating thing, at the end of The Tawny Man trilogy it still wasn't entirely clear whether Beloved is a woman or a man.
