. Sort of illustration to the certain part of Assasin's Quest by Robin Hobb.Tormented, angsty (as usual) Fitz and The Fool, all happy that his Beloved is alive.

Why couldn't she just say what gender is Fool? All the freaking hints i've gathered over 3 trilogies interpreted in several possible ways. Argh, it's so frustrating.
And the ending. It was such kick in the guts. Why such a lovable character as Fool didn't get to have a bit of happiness ? That's just not fair.

yeah, I thought that would be the reason... but why does it bother you so much? fitz loved him too, and even if fitz knew, what difference would it make? on the "tawny man" Fitz left it clear he would never "play swords" with the fool, he loved him a lot, but because of the "prophet-catalyst" link

Love that pic'. You have just suceeded in capturing the essence of The Fool. I just love his expression. And I totally agree with you : Fitz is the most obstinate love-blind heroes I've ever encoutered in a book. I had a forceful desire to slap him all over Farseer Trilogy and Tawny Man.

perfect art for fitz and fool, there's an intimacy here that is not awkward, a silent understanding of their close relationship; the hues suggest a deep bond, and the puppets on the shelf are content. gorgeous art!!
