This picture here is just another b/w quickie - it came out to be a bit cartoon-ish, sorry
. Sort of illustration to the certain part of Assasin's Quest by Robin Hobb.Tormented, angsty (as usual) Fitz and The Fool, all happy that his Beloved is alive.

Plus, I'm proud of myself that I managed to do another Hobb picture, for I'm always a bit afraid and nervous when drawing characters that belongs to someone else -_-'

And you make me see Hobb's characters the way you see them ... normally, I saw them slightly different ... but now, I can see them your way only

Now I'm seriously flattered ^^ Actually this picture started out as a simple doodle of Fool's face and the pose based on one of most famous polish jester's sculpture (his nickname was StaΕczyk). Then I realised that he has this litle smile that comes to my mind every time I'm thnking about him slightly teasing Fitz. So I added the Fitz, to the picture, did the background... And that's how it came. Totally accidentally

I like your Hobb drawings a lot ... yours are the best I've seen so far, I think. Of course, I like John Howe's work a lot too --- but he's getting paid for doing that

*laughs* Yeah. I also love Howe's ilustrations, especially the ones for Liveship Traders (one with Paragon on the beach is my favourite). Yet my favourite cover for Hobb's books is the one made by Stephen Youll: [link]

*grins* I know that one ... but I never really liked it ... the colours are too primary for me.
I think your stuff is much better than his, btw ... you have 'real' colours, while he doesn't.
