Here's my newest b/w quickie, maybe half an hour in total.Scene from 'Fool's Fate' by Robin Hobb. Fitz having his memories back and becoming complete again.
Have I mentioned before, that Fitz was blind?

Scena z ostatniego tomu.
To było po tym, jak Błazen wrócił do życia, a potem siedzieli z Bastardem w tym ogrodzie z kamiennymi smokami. Wtedy też Solanka oddała Błaznowi wspomnienia za kogucią koronę - a on oddał je Bastardowi. W dosyć specyficzny sposób, jak widać na obrazku ^^

Bastard X Błazen to normalnie OTP tej serii. Jak to mogło sie tak głupio skończyć... (dobra, nic więcej nie piszę, żeby mnie nie zjadły antyfanki spoilerów) XD

Ano właśnie! Dobrze chociaż że o kosianym Błaźnie można jeszcze w "Żywostatkach" poczytać, bo tak to chyba bym nie zdzierżyła...Czytałaś może?

Nu ba... Żywostatki były pierwszą serią Hobb, jaką czytałam (trochę nie po kolei, wiem - ale akurat polecił mi je znajomy jeszcze w czasach głębokiego liceum - polskie wydanie nie miało jeszcze wtedy ostatniego tomu... masakra >.< ). Potem, kiedy już po Skrytobójcy wzięłam się za Złotoskórego, coś mi zaskoczyło i rzuciłam się kartkować Żywostatki, by mieć całkowitą pewność, że to na pewno ON/A ^^ A oto i efekt: [link]

Ja też czytałam nie po kolei! Najpierw trylogię Skrytobójca, potem Złotego Błazna, a na końcu dopiero Żywostatki XD Normalnie nie wiedziałam że potrafię w takim tempie pochłaniać książki, przynajmniej czegoś nowego się o sobie dowiedziałam XD
A ja też jakoś w gimnazjum zachwycałam się serią i też co nieco rysowałam, ale gdzie tam moje wypociny porównywać do Twoich dzieł *_*

Amber! ^^ Sama albo z Paragonem (ja wiem, że jego imię zostało przetłumaczone, ale czytałam pierwsze wydanie i dla mnie zawsze pozostanie Paragonem)

Ja wszystkie rysy z tych serii to robiłam w pierwszej liceum alias 3 gimnazjum, więc nie reprezentują one zbyt wysokiego poziomu artystycznego, ale jeśli chcesz to jak wrócę do domciu to Ci wyślę XD

Beautiful image. However, while Fitz is holding himself awkwardly, the look on his is more tender than I would have imagined he would have felt--because he was, a blind, bloody fool. I've only just forgiven Robin Hobb for Tawny Man's ending after reading Liveship and the Rainwild Chronicles. (They are fantastic, btw if you haven't read them.)

I haven't read the Rainwild Chronicles yet... It's hard to get them in Poland, and they still aren't translated yet. But I love Liveships (all yay for Amber and Paragon! ^^)

The relationship between Amber and Paragon was so interesting! But it was so heartbreaking to know ahead of time that Fitz couldn't return the Fool's love and the scene where *she* carves Fitz's face on Paragon was so bittersweet.

Oh, yes. Definately. And Paragon's reaction on this. The dialogues between those two were one of my favourites of all series. I think that somehow Paragon was, well... maybe not exectly 'in love' with Amber, but he had some feelings toward her. Espacially, that she was albe to make him 'one with himself' (remember that part? It was when he was burning and she discovered that he is made of two 'dragons')

Yes! I remember that scene. Knowing who Amber really is made it a lot easier to understand how she was able to connect that way with Paragon (her skill-tipped fingers, for one thing). Her relationship with him was probably the most "real" to me; while I love Brashen and Althea, I didn't really think they *knew* Paragon at all--although perhaps Brashen did more than Althea, who was more obsessed with Vivacia.
However, I think that Kennet's and Paragon's history together was probably the most interesting. What Paragon did and was willing to do for that man amazed me because it didn't seem to fit with his personality. It also explained Kennet's behavior; while he did some terrible things, I felt sorry for him for the abuse he suffered and his inability to "feel" anything about it. Which is also very similar to what Fitz went through.... and how the Fool was able to give it back to him.
Anyway, I love these types of discussions and could probably go on for a while... but I'll spare you.
