Description
Catsby was a short-lived character created for a D&D 5e campaign that only lasted a single session. He and the rest of the party were investigating a smuggling operation in the sewers of Waterdeep, they rolled very poorly and all ended up dying in our first real combat. Catsby's manservant Bren then gathered up the bodies and delivered them to a dark god, letting them appear a few times as undead monsters controlled by the GM. Tough luck, Catsby!Bio: In his old age, Lord Rupholf started regretting selling his soul to a demoness for a male heir. Castby was a gadfly on his best days and an impish rake on his worst, without a leaderly bone in his body. Even a disciplined youth spent in knighthood-training had only seemed to teach Catsby how to toe the line and play pranks on the higher-ups without getting expelled. Growing desperate as perfectly-good retirement years slipped away, the Lord finally threw caution (and his bloodline) to the wind and sent his son on a "coming of age" journey accompanied by Bren, the estate's shriveled goblin manservant. Either Catsby would come back a world-hardened and better man, Rupholf reasoned, or he wouldn't come back at all.
