A quick sketch of a D&D character I made for an online character sheet: www.dndbeyond.com/profile/aabi… Pretty barebones, but it was only supposed to be a one-shot!

Gutter was a spy built during the Great Backstory War, sent to infiltrate the mermaids in the guise of various sealife. She got attacked by a giant squid while swimming to their underwater kingdom and fell unconscious on the ocean floor. Years later her body got picked up by a deep-sea fishing net from a pirate ship. Seeing an opportunity for free labor, the captain reactivated her and shanghai'd her onto his crew, where she now works with the cooking staff as a "Judas fish" leading unsuspecting schools to the boat to be caught and eaten. Despite her questionable company and occupation, Gutter is naively fascinated by her expanding horizons, and enjoys shapeshifting because she gets to briefly experience what being alive is like.
