Description
It was 2 weeks after Mheetu was born. The little cub was lying beside his mother, who was trying her best to protect him from hungry hyenas going all around them.

Then Nala ran to her.

"Mom, Mheetu can't live there."

"Why? Don't worry; I'll protect him from the hyenas, no matter what!" Sarafina said.

"It's not about the hyenas, mom" Nala shook her head with a worried face. "It's about Scar. I'm more than sure that only when Mheetu will be grown up enough, he'll take him from you to teach him. He'll become as bad him!"

"... how do you know that?" Sarafina asked, bewildered.

"... I was kind of eavesdropping. He was talking to Zazu all what I just said to you."

"So... what shall we do?"

"I thought that we could maybe find Chumvi's and Kula's pride?" Nala suggested. "They know you, and maybe you could escape and live with them, with Mheetu."

"But... do you know where they live?..." Sarafina was dubious. "And besides, I can't imagine living without my friends. And you."

"Think about Mheetu, mom." Nala reminded her. "His life will be better in their pride than in this rotten place. And don't worry about me - I'll be fine."

And Sarafina eventually agreed.

They set off early in the morning, when rays of sunlight just began to appear. Sarafina was carrying Mheetu in her teeth, and Nala was running ahead. She hoped that her friends still live where they used to. She was praying for this with all her might.

After an hour of wandering, the two lionesses smelled some strange scent. It was clear that this is not Pride Lands anymore: there was a lot more grass, and there was any prey.

"Wait there" Nala said and rushed forward.

After 15 minutes Sarafina saw them: Nala coming back with a dark lion and a lioness. Even though the time passed, Sarafina still recognized in them the cubhood friends of her daughter: Chumvi and Kula.

They greeted her warmly, and said that she and Mheetu are welcome in their pride, since it has a very few members.

"Are you sure we won't be a niusance?..." Sarafina asked.

"Of course you won't be!" Kula said, smiling warmly to her, and looking lovingly at Mheetu in her feet.

Hearing this, Sarafina turned to Nala. Adolescent was smiling sadly.

"I'll be fine." she said. "Kula, Chumvi, please take care of them. "Then she turned to her mother again. "So... goodbye."

"Goodbye, my child." Sarafina said, then nuzzled with her, and soon she was looking at back of Nala rushing towards her home. Then Sarafina took Mheetu by his scruff of the neck, and marched towards their new home.
