Description
Uru: "diamonds" [Swahili] OR "great" [Sanskrit]Affiliation: The Pridelander - Royal Pride
Title: Princess/ Queen
Generation: 5th
Relations: Daughter to Mohatu and Malaika, sister to Almasi, mate to Ahadi , mother to Mufasa and Taka.
I will not say much about the role she plays in my TLK universe, because I'll reveal it in my later stories/ comics. I can only say (as an explanation of the title) that Uru and Ahadi are cousins (in my TLK universe, off course). Such a thing wasn't such a big deal in some ancient (and later) cultures, though: marriages among the same household/ dynasty were contracted either due to political matters and/or to perpetuate the royal line, and for some other reasons too.
So... That's it. I hope I didn't steal unintentionally someone's design.

Haha, being the mother of Scar and Mufasa, there's only so many colours you can do XD

One can always make her a mother of just one of the brothers, while she can be a stepmother to another one But that's true: there aren't that many combinations xD

Rinjapine did a story like that and I actually quite liked the idea, and it would explain why Scar was so eager to be King. Lol, it's hard to be unique in TLK world

I know, I've read that ^^ I liked that idea too. (but what I meant was that, for example, Uru has Mufasa with Ahadi, and Taka/Scar was son of Ahadi and other lioness. it could be possible, too, and we could use just a combination of Mufasa's colors for Uru, while Taka's colors would go for Ahadi/ the other lioness. or something like that. I hope you know what I mean xD sorry for my twisted explanation.)
Yeah, it's hard to be unique in the world that is so much expanded and has so many fan-theories. x)

In my version, the father of Uru, Mohatu, is the brother of 'the selfish lion', who is Ahadi's father. And their mothers are sisters too.
Funny isn't it?

Oh my. In my version Mohatu and Selfish (whom I called Ajizi) are brothers too, but Selfish has no children And Uru and Ahadi aren't first but 3rd cousins (as far as I remember). x) And they don't know about this fact for quite a some time.
Yeah, it's kind of funny x3

Incest also is less harmful to animals in general. Β (at least, mild incest... it's often used to correct problems in some bloodlines via "back breeding" or breeding dams and sires to their offspring. Β Granted, you get enough of it going (like Cheetahs do) and it's pretty bad.

I'd say that animals in real life don't really care about the incest (it's hard to expect from them to know anything about genetics x)), but I'm not sure if it's really less harmful; yet, you might be right. I'd have to research about it. But still, too much of the same genes mixing results in many genetic disorders.

Well... most animals that live in groups seem to make an effort to avoid it. Β (young males are exiled upon entering adulthood so they won't mate with their sisters, mothers and aunts, ruling males don't usually stay in power long enough to impregnate many of their offspring, etc.)

You've got the point here. Even so, sometimes there are cases that they can't avoid it (due to geographical separation etc.). But that's a whole different story.

That's kinda what happened to cheetahs in a sense. Β The population bottlenecked about 5000 years ago due to hunting and extinction so just going along their breeding instincts they've screwed themselves into a corner. Β Cheetahs are the European Royal Family of cats... they are basically all second cousins at most and nothing we can do will help that... Β Which is pretty much the opposite of how things usually are when people get involved with critters.
