Description Another Avatar-related thingie.

I started making myself familiar with Cinema 4D during the last weeks and decided to throw in a little modeling practice.
So here we go: Ikran, unfinished.
I plan to group, map, texture and rig the beastie for Poser.
But that's a long shot. I probably won't manage to do it over the next few weeks...

Update: I am sorry to confess that I lost the modeler files of this beastie - so no progress, no rig. Sorry!

Oh, this is wonderful! Beautiful anatomy, so very flowy =3

Would there be any possibility of uploading images from other angles, or even an interactive model? I've never worked with C4D, so I don't know if that's possible, but I know in Maya you can export and open in Photoshop and from there put it into Acrobat, where you can then rotate it and, I think, switch between solid and wireframe views.

I only ask because, from what I can see, this is a very accurate model, and if you're alright with it it would make such a very valuable reference for anyone trying to create an Ikran themselves. I know I, myself, would love to have something like that to work with, particularly with how little information there is available on actually drawing Ikrans right now.

Nevertheless, this is still an awesomely awesome model, and I hope and wish you luck on finishing it one day!

Hiya!
Sorry on the late reply here.
I don't know if it is possible to export the mesh like this (interactive view), but I'ld be interested to find out.
The anatomy is not that perfect, because I already noticed the shape of the head is a bit off and there are a few details missing on the wing fingers or flaps or whatever they are

Best thing I could try in a short time would be a short rotating animation, but it will take me a few days to weeks (am in the middle of my bachelor exams right now).

Looking good. I use C4D for modelling my products, and I rather like it; found it quite intuitive, and it is VERY Poser friendly

I love those great, clean meshes it exports!
