Description
It's not "funny" in the ha-ha sense, but I've always found it strange that kids in daycare are perfectly fine until their parents come to pick them up. Suddenly the kid is hit with the horrifying realization that their parents have been gone and they start crying like its nobody's business.
Quite a phenomenon.HP's basically going through that but on a much more prolonged level.

I just LOVE Gale's 'Uh?' face when Pint starts crying. It's so funny that Half Pint can still catch her adoptive mommy off guard! XD
And just a biiiit of critique... I kinda wanna point something out. When you're drawing the mouth of your characters from a profile view, you may wanna give them a bit more of an upper lip. The second panel has HP looking like her nose runs into her mouth.

I'm jealous of your openess to critique. I sometimes feel bad critiquing people though, y'know? Like, I get so annoyed after finishing something up and THEN having someone point out this GLARINGLY obvious problem with it. It's more anger at myself for not catching it, but also slight wonder why the various people who hang over me when I'm drawing it don't point it out. B/ So I kinda feel bad pointing out problems sometimes because while I appreciate someone actually taking time to tell me how I could improve, it's that moment of 'well shit, why didn't I see that BEFORE?' that I don't like pushing on people.
I guess a little pointer for when you're drawing profile--though take this with a grain of salt since I still need work on mine as well-- is to make sure there's plenty of room below the nose for the upper lip. Even with our mouth open, there's still that bit of space between our teeth and our nose.

Ahhh, yeah, I had a lot of friends who stayed for daycare after school. But it was also a small school so everyone knew everyone. I only stayed once or twice but it always felt weird to me sinc eI wasn't part of the "group". Totally get what you mean though

Half Pint's a small thing with big emotions, crying's an extreme she hits quite a bit. It doesn't take much to get her worked up

Lol, I wouldn't call HP's tear happy just yet. They will be soon, but she's delayed phase of shock and horror over how much she missed her Mama.
