Poor Ruebyn, he has so much magic coursing through him that he has to store it all away.

When one has magical abilities, using magic is like breathing, they can't help but use it or else they die. Holding in the magic effects the body in negative ways and unless it's used productively, the user can become depressed, aggressive, aching, and filled with anxiety. Ruebyn's felt these symptoms far too many times, but he doesn't know what they mean, he just knows that he needs to expel the build up of magic inside himself. Expelling it though, has always had terrible repercussions for him and people around him, so he jars the positive and negative magic.

Sometimes when there's no container available, he uses plants to store the magic, which gives me some neat ideas for future pieces!

Being a magical prince in the Aurum bloodline, Ruebyn has no one to teach him how to control his abilities. Magic is so uncommon in his kingdom that it's a mystery to everyone and even dangerous. His brothers forbid him from using it, ignorant of the fact that Rue just can't switch it off and that trying to do so causes more problems. Problems like the one that caused his and Talys's meeting.
