Description
A leg of a young elephant, which was chained in order to attract visitors... like me... unfortunately.I don't pretend to be a bleeding heart, but still, if I had the chance, I would spare myself visiting such a place.
Somehow this photo connects to my earlier one , though they were shot in different locations and different circumstances.
Koh Phangan, Thailand.

it makes me think of the word Animalistic, and how it's used. They say a serial killler is deranged and animalistic, and yet the only animal that kills just for the sake of killing, or is intentionaly cruel are the humans.
wolves and lions kill to eat, to protect their territory, and their family.

The way people can treat animals is disgusting...I don't understand how they are allowed to get away with it...I mean, you beat up a dog and your charged for it, yet this happens to millions of factory farm animals (and other animals) each year and it's allowed!? In no way that's acceptable...

i hate this picture but the beauty of it is that it represents the sadness and cruetly that goes in our world and we still make things suffer

Unfortunately it is not a zoo, but village in Koh Phangan, Thailand. The local villagers keep these poor elephants chained in order to entertain curious western tourists.
