Description
Here is the update for my robot design. these are the 3 basic views of my design, the front view, back view and side view. One of the fellow deviants suggested to make a model out of this. so here u go the 3 views of it
Oh ya i have decided to call this robot MEGATECH. basically because it sounds cool, easy to remember and it sounds like a robot
if im free i'll make a colour version of these 3 views. after my final illustration. the battle scene is coming soon. so please be patient and wait^^

My favourite mechs are Gundam Wing Zero Custom, and Justice from Guilty Gear.
In the U.S. they showed Tekkaman under the name Techno man. I really liked that show, but they took it off of T.V. before it was done.

took it off before its done? thats stupid.. it happens in malaysia too. i loved that show. it was quite old but it already looked so modern.

Sweet. I'd have a hard time drawing a mecha, a lot of details that one would need to get right.

well u just need to find some good reference and learn the structure. u dont actually copy them but u can absorb the good things from the good designs. stuff like Gundam, Evagelion and so on. As for this, i used Tekkaman Blade for my reference for the posture and the structure.

Ah, i still lack severely with poses, foreshortening and anatomy though. I'll be taking a life drawing class soon though so hopefully i can improve on those areas.

Hmm.. Kinda looks like an Eva on steroids. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

No problem! Never heard of Tekkaman Blade before, is it a good one?
And yeah, compared to most.. Gundam designs, for example, an Eva (and this guy) appears pretty slim. Then again, the whole Eva design puts more emphasis on agility and close-combat power than in heavy armor and big guns. Personally, I've always preferred Battletech-style mechas over anime-style, but to each their own and all that lark.
