Description
High above the San Francisco naval yards, the newly commissioned USS Diomedes (NCC-160) bids farewell to the last of the shuttles used to provision her. Now, with her full compliment of 229 safely aboard, she prepares to embark on brief shakedown cruise designed to test the limits of her newly designed warp 5 engines. If all goes well, she will soon begin a voyage of discovery beyond the 10 parsec sphere of the newly formed United Federation of Planets.------
The newly unveiled USS Daedalus model by JamieTakahashi has rekindled my interest in the early days of the Federation. Thus, a new entry in my Star Trek: Traveller series. Think of it as a reimagining of what Star Trek: Enterprise should have been like.

So did Jamie release this model into the wild? Where does one find it? It's a cool image, but you should consider a redo with the smoothing fixed. It should look even better!

OH JA!!! Much better. And your use of the shuttly things is inspired. Very neat. I really like your compositions and how you use the framing elements. S'all juicy SF goodness!

If I have picked up even a fraction of your technique and style, then I have done well.

Oh, you've grabbed more than a fraction.... and spun it to your own (evil) ways quite effectively!

Very nice, just see if you can decrease the crease smoothing angle to get rid of the gradient shadows along the panels.

Sure thing...but I have no idea what that means. (self-taught and woefully ignorant)
Do you mean to just reduce the smoothing? I know how to do that!

Awesome work on the ship and the shuttles. May the Diomedes see distant sights and new horizons on her voyage into the void. ^_^

The engineers are shoveling anti-matter into the warp boilers even as I type this!
