What the hell is this?I can explain:
This is a work in progress pic of said project.
I am about to cosplay as Professor Snape and since I do not have a nose as big and crooked as his' (thanks god!), I am trying to make a nose.
For this I am mostly working with liquid latex and to work with this material, you necessarily need a mold.
For this reason, I plastered my nose with bandages to gain the main form of a nose (you see the dried bandages on the far left end).
Now I needed the positive form of this and I filled it with clay. This is like a copy of my own nose (second to left).
Next is my nose as main form changed to Snape's nose by the appliccation of more clay.
Last is a negative form of Snape's nose.
Tomorrow the latex is dried... I am excited about how it might turn out!

how did you apply the liquid latex? Did you put it inside the negative then closed the positive over it?

cool, I want to make my own latex molds, but i'm still researching the right methods so I can get it to come out nice.

don't worry, it better than anything i've tried. I have book that talks about laytex masks but it's in Japanese so I can't read it (I can only look at the pictures lol) that's why I'm checking out other tutorials too.

Dankedanke, auch wenns mit dem Latex leider um die Nasenlöcher rum einfach nicht aussieht. Bin jetzt bei Nosewax gelandet.

Cool! I wondered how people made prosthetics like these. How do you smooth out the edges so it won't make a terribly obvious line on the face where it's applied?

Hmmm that's still something that's giving me headaches... I guess I will apply a very thin layer of liquid latex directly on my skin, just where the edges are, the day I will wear the costume. And then I will have to try smoothening it out with make-up... Somehow gay, Snape wearing make-up, but well, it can't be helped

Das Latex an sich ist ja schon hautfarben und damit es meine Hautfarbe kriegt wirds natürlich ordentlich mit überschminkt

hmmm ich mochte die bücher immer, haben so ne schöne atmosphäre... aber inzwischen überfliege ich auch vieles. deathly hallows ist allerdings ganz lesenswert, da enthüllt sich dann doch so einiges, besonders was snape und dumbledore betrifft.
