i really love how you place figures in the middle of these environments. i know it's usually used to represent scale, but it just adds something so artistic, gives it depth, so to speak.
you don't see the face of the figure and their form is unclear. so they really could be feeling or doing anything from a vengeful walk towards the climax of their lives, to a sad, dreary walk through otherwise mundane, completely routine locations.
the imagination abounds.

I think it's important to have a human element in concept paintings in order to connect the user to the environment in some way; using subtle, indistinct figures lends an air of mystery to the whole thing... I'm highly surprised you think I pulled it off! I appreciate it

Im good... crazily busy at the moment. Trying to balance my job, acting classes, practising my character animation and artwork. Feeling a bit like a circus performer... and for my next trick, lol.
It's all going pretty well though so not complaining. Hows things with you? U around at the degree show?

Yup, there are a few photo textures in there, well spotted - I use photo textures in most of my work, it's a great way to add details quickly. Really enjoyed doing this one actually, been on another tutorial high so starting to get the hang of throwing together quick environments.

Fantastic work man. really nice use of textures.
My only nirk is the 'G' logo...it looks too pronounced...I would mabye lower it's opacity and dirty it up more...as your eye is distracted by it...
my only crit mind you...stunning work & deservedly faved.

It's a submission for a concept art job - it's unpaid work for a games company in the States, they contacted me and asked if I'd do some stuff. Should be good practice and if the game hits off then there could be more to come.
