This is an incredible interpretation of the shrike, I love it! It's so much more dynamic and a whole lot more frightening than the one on the cover! congrats on the DD, you deserve it!!

I only read the first book, but this makes me want to get back to the rest. I think this is a much creepier interpretation of the Shrike than what is currently on the covers. That one seems like a clunker you could run from.
This one...yeah. I would shit myself if I saw it coming my way. The dynamic pose is what does it for me; it's like a jumping spider or deadly insect you see in nature documentaries.

Gorgeous Hyperion art! good art form the Cantos seems so far and few between. I love how dynamic the Shrike is, and you captured it's menacing bladed complexity fantastically! Especially with the little ridges of blades on it's limbs.
