Just finished the Cantos, and started looking for fan art of the colonel. This is easily the best image I've seen so far. I noticed the symmetry of their poses, and I assume this was done for reasons other than just balancing the composition (plot reasons).

Gorgeous work! The Hyperion Cantos is one of my absolute favorite fiction series and the battle between Kassad and the Lord of Blades was absolutely gripping. I love how you've portrayed it here!
