Finally finished! This is my half of a trade with ~NightmareHound . It was supposed to be a quick trade but I... kinda went a little bit overboard. Just by a little bit. Haha
Anyway, ~NightmareHound let me choose one of her characters and I chose to paint a Drowed merperson . I normally paint happy-go-lucky stuff, so I thought a water zombie would be a pretty awesome change from that. See guys, I can paint scary stuff too.
I changed the design around a bit because it's more of a species (?) than a single character. The fish is based off of a largemouth bass (or some kind of bass, I might have messed it up a bit) while the guy is based off of, uh, a guy. Yep.

But seriously, excellent use of lighting and texture. Also love the pose, that hand! I love how the light is creeping around the fish's tail and how they interact. Fantastic concept and execution. I'm really digging the palette.
