So another year has passed, eh? And here's my final upload for the year. Β Boy, it was a year for me: discovering a new role model character, then being mentally boosted because of her, graduating from hell, free to finally explore what I wish, and going full circle with my role models back to the first one who molded me. I dunno about you, but personally, I'd call that a bit of a rollercoaster.As for the pic itself, you're likely wondering why there's 4 out of 7 characters that haven't even been mentioned (Sonic, Chell, Rayman, Arle). Well I haven't gotten around to uploading their sprites (or finishing them). But why these characters? These 7 are what I'd like to call the checkpoints of my life. In one way or another, while being themselves, they (or more accurately, the franchises they hail from) have made an impact and impression in my life that I'll keep looking back to for however long I'll last. Who knows, maybe the roster will grow bigger one day. Or maybe I'll even craft my own.
So, Happy New Year. It's time to see what the 2020s will hold for all!

Sonic, Astro Boy, Chell (was unknown to me until you mentioned her[?]), Rayman, Mega Man, Arle Nadya(?), and Alita.
As for 2020 predictions: given your friendship with hansungkee, I am afraid that roster will grow by adding Reimu Hakurei there LOL.

Yeah, Chell was from a game called Portal (1 & 2) by Valve. It's a first-person puzzle shooter where you (as the name suggests) shoots portals to go from one spot to another. Admittedly, Portal 1, while a good start, ends up being a glorified hidden tutorial setting up for the not-so-long finale (if you know full well how to play it). There are additional challenging stages to do after beating the game though. Portal 2 is where it's at though, there's a bigger and more cinematic story, 2-player co-op, and community made levels!
It's Arle Nadja, by the way. Her origins actually trace back to systems like the MSX2 and the PC-98! Before Puyo Puyo, there was Madou Monogatari, and let's just say the stories told there are more...serious.
[How the above two made it to this pic was because I learned about them more fully later on while digging deeper into the stories they were in. For example, Chell canonically is a very tenacious and stubborn character (despite choosing not to speak).]
Ah, Touhou eh? I've had my fair share of shoot-em-ups with Gradius, R-Type, and Raiden (although I wouldn't say I'm very good at them

I also suck at shooters. The only way I can beat some of them without getting Game Over is if I play them in Easy Mode, but then I canβt get to unlock Good Endings or even Extra Stages.
