Ouch. That is just... Fail is the only word for it.

It would be even more awesome if the guy sat down, looked at his opponent and said "Mate in two," before doing so.

So...there's no saying "check" with this is there? Just straight to checkmate

That makes me sad, and yet crazy happy at the same time.

I've only literally pulled it off once in all my chess games (just a casual between me and my friend that was kinda new at chess), but it was so hilarious to see his face.

It's such a classic move. It's really the only planned move I have. X3 I'm more of a see wotcha do and the act on it. It's great fun to not be so focused on the game while your opponent is wondering why you are staring them down instead of watching their pieces.

Ah, the Fool's mate. A surprising amount of people I know seem to fall victim to that...

What...not a fan of chess-related demotivationals? There's little of a reason to get negatively hyped up over it.

No, I mean...in your situation you have here the guy lost in about 4 moves, right?

It's actually two. White moves up 2 pawns, Black moves a pawn and then queen, then checkmate.
When my friend was returning back to chess, she made this mistake, got checkmated, and quit again after that. lol

See, I don't play chess so I wouldn't know.
It's still funny, though.

Yeah, you'd have to mess up really badly in order for you to fall victim to that!
