Description
Paper Tube StructuresMIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO GALLERY - Tokyo, Japan, 1994 - Shigeru Ban Architects
I've noticed a couple of times that I really admire japanese architecture. This one is Miyake Studio Gallery by Shigeru Ban. I must confess that I've impressed with the columns and the shade that creates simple and converging patterns.
I've used a reference for this study but I've applied my own visual expression rather than reference photo.
I've used 3dsmax and Vray as usual. Render passes composited in Nuke. Vignette, chromatic abberation, noise, edge blur and a subtle amount of cross-process done with Photoshop.

Well it's amazing, I would just probably put less noise in it, because on the shadows part, there is too much noise.
Except that it's amazing, I tought it was a photo.
BTW, nice reference pick.

Your are right about too much noise in the shadows. Everything seems balanced in my -not so calibrated- CRT monitor. It must be seriously calibrated, I've ruined my sRGB color space by mistake so viewing experience may -what a shame!- vary with different displays.
I'll find a solution a.s.a.p. Anyways, thanks for you interest and critics

Are you sure it is not a photograph with some noise ?!
You are putting a new meaning and dimension to the word "realism" - Quality and quantity of your work is definitely unbeatable !

Çok teşekkürler
Render süresi hakkında hiç bir fikrim yok, hatırlamıyorum ama 2 saati geçmemiştir.

Nuke is just a node based compositing software. I think it's more stable than similar comping tools, especially working on 3k or 4k huge EXR files. I also recommend you to look at similar ones, Fusion, Shake and After Effects.
You can find further info from these links about nuke

AfterEffects I use in my pipeline for obviously, motion work.
I thought Nuke was some post processing app for stills alone. Although I admit, I've used AfterEffects for color correction on stills before now.
Thanks for the links.
