Idk... Just so you guys know I'm still alive. I just never get on DA... I'm $250 away from building my PC though
I've got my two 8 core, 16 thread (32 thread total) Xeon CPUs, a Nvidia GTX 770 (temporary until I get an extra $300-$400 for a 1070), the Motherboard to put it in ($500) and a 1 TB Hard Drive.... I recently modeled, simulated,sculpted, etc. a couch to post on Blender Market... Everything is still waiting for review... On Twitter they told me so far so good, so unless I forgot to make the files local or something, it should go through 
Anyhow, it'll be $15, and with any luck should contribute to my new PC... I'm scared of freelancing cuz my cpu could fry any time... HDD on my laptop just fried a week and a half ago.Β Oh yeah, about the scene...

Yeah, I sent it off to a render farm... Took a week to get it back, 13 hours to render... WIP renders took around 16 hours per render for me

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am 73 Years old just starting with Blender I downloaded it about 2 months ago. I do this to keep my brain active and pass the time as a hobby. Art is going to be my occupation... 3D Art at that... but I believe college to be a waste of time and money. My father went to college to become a Graphic Designer... He's learned more about graphic design at his job (which his degree did not in any way help him to get) than he did in his years of college. If you would have studied graphic design himself, he perhaps would have gotten more experience, and not have gotten into thousands of dollars in debt. In my honest opinion, college stops thirsty minds from learning about their art, and tries to regulate the mind to be like everyone else's... Not a trap I want to fall into. If I freelance instead, I wouldn't need a degree, and with time and practice hopefully I'll be able to wipe the floor with the competition

Yeah xD No doubt, and in that respect, college in necessary... Same with a medical degree... And a large amount of other careers... However I feel going to college to learn art is a waste. I have friends who went to college for 3D, and they said they learned more after the classes when they free-styled, than they did in the classes....Β
