DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT FANCY MYSELF A GOOD ENOUGH ARTIST TO ACTUALLY UNDERTAKE TUTORIALS; THIS WAS DONE AT THE REQUEST OF SOMEONE ELSE. THEREFORE, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE COMMENTS POINTING OUT MY MISTAKES. THIS TUTORIAL IS TO HELP YOU WITH DRAWING MUSCULAR MEN, NOT BISHIE BOYS AND FEMALES. FUTURE TUTORIALS IN THIS SERIES WILL BE MORE DETAILED AND WELL-DRAWN!!So yes, the disclaimer sums it up. I really don't think I draw well enough to teach others, and by no means is this to teach you the RIGHT way to draw muscles. My drawings are rife with mistakes and anatomical errors which even I can see. wanted me to give him a framework around which to instruct him how I draw muscles. So this is to teach you how I draw muscles; my style, my mistakes.
This is the first part: the skeletal and the basic proportions of the figure. I tried to also add comments to help you, but as you can see there are 3 areas I need to work on:
Forearms/Hands
Legs/Feet (heh heh, he has hooves)
The Back
But there are some things to keep in mind too:
I did this in like 20 minutes; mistakes and necessary clean-ups are everywhere
I'm not here to teach you HOW to draw the feet or hands
Nothing I do is perfect. I'm still learning myself.
I CANNOT DRAW SMALL FIGURES WELL.
And yes, as that one statement says, your arms DO NOT hang like that. Try it. Stand in front of a mirror. Your biceps should be facing front. Now position your arms like that. It's not impossible but it feels damn uncomfortable. When I say other artists have done I'm serious; they had their arms positioned sideways. So even professionals do it. I was too lazy to do it properly and plus it gives you an idea of the upper arm muscles.
Use this as a guide, not a singular source. Look at anatomy books. Look at pictures of real people. Discover your own style. Practice the hell out of muscles.

Only when it comes to muscles. You've got me beat hands-down with women's bodies. *lol pervy statement*
Besides, the way YOU draw guys is how most girls seem to want their guys to look nowadays, no?

I once drew a follow-up to "Scandalous" but then I lost it.
In it I drew a super-deformed picture of YOU.
Maybe I lost it on purpose because of that...

BUT I messed up on Chase so I shoved it somewhere. I don't know where. *looks around his room* My god there's a lot of papers in here...

Oh trust me; the more skilled you become the easier it is to see your mistakes. I'm almost done with part two, so come back later and you'll see how I draw the neck and top of the shoulders.

I will since I am not very skilled with the male proportions.
