I always have to ruin things, don't I?
This is my third, and honestly best, try on the one-layer-style, all though I have admittedly used a few additional layers for lighting and such. Breaking the unwritten rules 101. I really liked it though, it made it a lot easier to keep track on what to do and where to do it and stuff. It was originally just supposed to be a sketch, as I was stuck in an art block, but I still wanted to draw something. This was last week, as since school came back around, I didn't have the opportunity to finish it right away. Thus I finished it this weekend, a week later.Β
I'll gladly take constructive criticism!

The colors are gorgeous!
The lighting and transparency look really really nice, the image as a whole is just absolutely beautiful!
Honestly, the only thing I can criticize is the link to your site at the bottom, it's a bit distracting. maybe shrink it a bit, and go for a color that blends in a little better so it doesn't stick out?

I can agree that the link should have been more transparent, but the reason it is there is that it would be harder for someone else to claim my work as theirs. As long as it works the way it's supposed to, I don't see any harm in it being visible <: I am truly happy you like my work though! Thank you a bunch, it really do mean a lot to me <3 I've been trying to work on one layer as oppose to doing line work and such, as I've felt trapped in my own art lately. Once I Β did the line work it was hard to redo things that I didn't like, and it made me kinda not want to draw digitally. So by removing that border for myself, I feel like I've been able to express myself more freely, and I'm really happy with how it's all turned out~

The color combo of magenta and turquoise is a really good choice. Her hair is really well rendered and you can clearly see all the individual strands. I really like her character design of her smooth horns and pointed ears, and I like the little pleating on her gloves. And I like the turquoise highlights against against her. Her skin is really well shaded.Β

I have to say that, while the character is well drawn, the background is really soft and minimal. She's really fleshed out but the background is very sketchy. And the vines around her body and in the picture looks unfinished and sketchy.
