Description I'm not entirely sure if this is finished or not yet. If y'all have any suggestions, definitely let me know, my feelings won't be hurt
This is a psychological self-portrait, it's my final for my class. It's supposed to be fading, but not in a sense of becoming weaker, but fading the darkness into something brighter and stronger. I used a reductive method and erased into a solid black charcoal base. Very relaxing.

Compressed charcoal and drafting eraser on Fabriano paper.

Beautiful...I would never be able to do this! At least not without some serious training. Pencils and charcoal have always eluded me, but it builds a strong appreciation for those who CAN do it, and you most certainly can! Great job!

Charcoal is so much fun because you can use high contrast of lights and darks for dramatic affect. Great piece. I do not remember seeing this last time I visited your gallery. Is it new?

Thanks! It was a lot of erasing I focused on chunks of hair rather than single strands.
