Description
I realized too late that when LittlePip left the vault/stable, it emerged into a hallway, not a cavern. Damn Fallout 3, screwing me up.This took me about 6-7 hours to make, and is completely digital. Once again, I tried out some new things here. A big difference is how I did the line art; I usually do fairly thick outlines, but I opted for a thinner kind of line here.
I hope you like it!

Not many comments in a while, so it kinda feels like I was late to the party, but I'm gonna ask anyway; how did you learn to draw this kind of stuff? I mean, what exactly is the process? I'm not really an artist yet, I made one picture after weeks, but how do you make something like this in mere hours?

I'll be happy to help~!
Thing is, learning how to art is a pretty long and sometimes difficult process. Before the whole pony business, I drew anime and manga styled characters for almost 4 years. I wasn't particularly good at it but it gave me a foundation for doing pony art pretty quickly and not looking bad, heh.
Really, and I know this is very cliched, but it is all about drawing often and practicing. Drawing manga for such a long time gave me very fast sketching abilities, for instance.
Don't lose heart though! I was never a talented artist. I started just like anyone else- with simple stick figure people. However, I just kept at it, leading to me slowly but surely improving. My interest and curiousity pushed me forward to getting better.
I've seen many non-artists grow into amazing artists due to ponies. Even if you don't feel that you are an artist, just keep drawing! You can and WILL improve, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the progress you'll make~
I recommend looking into pony drawing tutorials to get started. Once you got that down, look at artists you like- see how they handle things from anatomy, line weight, paint styles, shading, color theory, etc. Always be curious and always be eager to learn and create. That's how you will become an artist
Good luck to you, and I hope I've helped!

Wow, I didn't actually expect a reply! But thanks, that really helps, I'll try to remember that. And thanks, I'll look at a few guides. And I know this would be the third time saying it, but I'll say it again anyway; thanks!

Is it cool if I use this for a website I'm making for the dev team who's making the video game adaptation of Fallout: Equestria? You'll get credit, of course.

And you left out the skeletal remains of tens of ponies.
For that, I thank you.
I can't usually handle grim stuff like Fo:E, but my lord its so beautiful I can't deny it from me!
And this is a great piece of fanart. :3

I have not read Project Horizons, but my brother has. I'll inquire on her appearance, and yeah, I'll give her a draw!

You'd be surprised at the quality of work the Fallout: Equestria story is. I know I was. I, myself, was a bit apprehensive about reading it, especially since I was a fan of Fallout prior to 3. However, instead of being Fallout with ponies, it's more of ponies with Fallout, and it creates a very interesting story on its own while still making nods to the original Fallout 1 and 2, as well as the 3rd and New Vegas. Even then, it has its own original takes on said nods.

it's funny because i hate both fanbases. might as well write about barbies and call of duty.

I understand. Things like a bunch of grown up guys liking ponies is a bitter pill to swallow for some, hell, a lot of folks. I know it was for me.
By the way, you've got some good art up on your account. Do you upload often?

this is my new account. my old account is .
and currently i'm messing around with traditional art and sketching, rather than what i normally do...digital art. currently i'm working on a sick piece with luna.
i guess lack of inspiration plays part in the reason why i don't upload often, aside from my practice with traditional sketching. in the past 2 months i've learned so much on drawing hands, feet, and limbs. in the past 1.5 years i've been doing art, all my friends say i'm a fast learner and i'm amazing.
but, the reason i started art still hasn't paid off.

Keep going at it. I've been drawing for six years, and I'm still nowhere near what I'd like to be able to do. However, art is much more about the journey, the process, rather than the destination.
It'll be very unlikely that you will ever reach that "pay-off" point, because if you're an artist of any merit, you'll keep on raising your standards. Which is good; an artist should never be truly satisfied with their work. It should always be better in some way. Happiness should be found in your growth, your improvement. It's what makes art so worthwhile; since there is no destination, the fun of the journey can be enjoyed forever.
I can definitely see some big improvement between your older works and your newer ones. You have lots of potential to make some awesome pieces. I'm hoping to see some more from you in the near future!

what i meant by "pay-off" is that i only started to draw for attention. sure, it worked a bit, but currently i hope it can work out to get me with someone special whom has the same interests as i do.
and thanks for the compliments. they mean a lot to me. i really hope to be the best around, with nothing ever keeping me down. i'm also gonna fight to the end, and i'm going to try my best. always.
happy halloween, by the way!
