Description
Pastiche to Pierre-Auguste Cot's Springtime . THIS IS MEANT TO BE A FUN IMITATION; DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.I've always fancied the poses in this particular painting. Man, the background was a pain to paint.
Valken and Xeigle belong to me. I've never been so fanciful of a character's parents. Zy probably thinks otherwise.
Colored in openCanvas over a pencil sketch, give or take six hours.
This is still really fun. I wanna do another one.

This is really beautiful. I love the style, it really looks like watercolours to me.
The original sketch conflicts with the colouring in some parts of the background, and if you look carefully the right-hand rope could be cleaner, but don't worry, they aren't big problems.
I can really see why you enjoyed painting this.
