I've just started season 2, haven't got to the part in your pic.
Amazing pic, so powerful, and so beautiful. Having seen season 1 and 7 episodes of season 2, I can't see that the anime can do any better than your pic. The anime drawings just don't have the same impact as yours.
The way Kourin leans into Eigetsu is just so tender, and painful!

I feel bad for that Eigetsu guy being tied up and all even though I have no idea what's going on. XD; But still a touching scene nevertheless.
The expressions are really amazing, just wow. I like Kourin's outfit alot. The transparent border looks good with it too.

Since Yougetsu's all cool, strong and smart, people try to get him out even if that means killing Eigetsu. But since Yougetsu was all merciful to Eigetsu, Eigetsu is keeping him inside so that the magic circle he's on doesn't capture him, or something like that. Yougetsu is not happy to be kept inside to watch Eigetsu in pain. Oh well.
