I'm not a good teacher.. but I could give you some beginning advice. Well, I'll just be telling somthing obvious xD
I suppose that for now, all your drawings have been copied from originals. Keep it this way, draw a lot of drawings you like, portraits (like kyle's), full body, illustrations, etc.
Mangakas' works are best to train on, I used to draw a lot of Dragon Ball characters before xD And from professionals artworks (video games or manga), you can find a lot in the internet.

What you will learn from this, is how to place elements (limbs, eyes, nose, etc.) And getting used to draw so you can draw long lines or curves naturally. And I think that this phase is essential.

Then, you'll start drawing you own pieces of art! With or without references. What I can say is to look for tutorials, here in dA, or youtube if you think that videos are better.

Thanks, that helped a lot, but I plan a doing a bunch of more copies before I start to draw my own pieces of art.
