Description Disclaimer: I don't own starwars, or anything related to it.  Nor do I own the original picture that I have modified badly to create this one.  The owner of that can be found here. www.artstation.com/artwork/xyX…

This, like my Twilight Horizon is still a WIP, though it's as finished as I'll get it right now without spending an abhorrent amount of time on it.  Obviously I've got little imagination, I'm simply fixing my pet peeve of having lopsided ships.  Please ask for permission if you wish to use it for anything as I am currently hoping to use them later in a book I'm hoping to finish.

Designed by Rendili Hyperworks, the BT-7P Blockade Jumper was the precursor to the well known and highly used BT-7 Thunderclap.

The ship was imagined and built to fill the specific need to jump into the system with a full platoon of soldiers and their equipment.  On board the ship, there were two ways that the ship had to get it's payload on the ground.  First, the Blockade Jumper would fly as close as possible to the blockade of the specified planet and make a micro hyperspace jump to appear in the small space between the blockade and the planet surface.  There it would launch it's escape pods which also doubled as heavily shielded drop pods before it would then turn and fight or run.   The second, in conjunction to it's heavily armored hull and layered shielding, it would simply fly into the fight, hopefully accompanied with other ships, and proceed to unleash it's deadly array of weapons onto it's opponents.

Several variations of the Blockade Jumper class assault vessel were made for various duties.  Some had increased cargo/medical facilities for humanitarian aid while others had a single large cargo interior on each side where the whole floor was part of the elevator system.

Designed with the Mandalorian mindset it had a laser cannon suite on the ends of the hull facing forward, 1 at each end,  that housed 1 Heavy turbo Laser and 2 Medium Turbo lasers for ship to ship combat along with several missile tubes to supplement it.  As a secondary it had 4 dual buzz blasters for smaller craft or for anti personnel purposes while on the ground.

While heavier and a bit larger than the BT-7 Thunderclap, it still performed to spec, and once on the ground it's shield generators could be changed to create a dome shield with nearly the power of cruisers, it's turreted buzz blasters made for excellent point defense, and it became a literal staging and command ship.

The idea of the ship was sound but hard to put into practice.  Rendili determined that while the computers could do the job, making a micro hyperspace jump in the way this ship was meant to needed pilots that were either fearless, exceptional, or just plain Jedi as the machines could only compensate so much.  It is unknown why Rendili did not continue with the Blockade Jumper line of the BT-7, but the design was retooled and the BT-7 Thunderclap was born in it's place for the galactic cold war.  However, a limited run of the Blockade Jumper and it's variations were made as Rendili was flooded with requests for it outside the military market.

Ships include:  Spear Head, Point Break, Mandalorian Run, The Basilisk

May I ask for a small, personal change? Please make me a version where that third seat isn't by the pilot / co-pilot area, but infront of the small holoterminal (as a captain's chair) and give it via sta.sh. I use your deckplan for RP as reference. So overall my crew is...
> Bridge: 6
- Pilot
- Co-pilot
- Navigation officer
- Communication officer
- Gunners
- And of course, the captain who overseers and gives orders
Note: Gunner stations are at the entry door of the bridge and there's 4 #1a turrets, which they can switch between freely. And usually the protocol droid (C2-A2) is on the bridge unless the captain says otherwise.

> Engine room
- 2 engineers
- 2 astromech

The ships I've made as they are now reflect what I'm using them for in the book I'm writing. I'm hoping I can get my ships planted in star wars lore cannon or otherwise. Not sure I'll be making many more adjustments.

I hope you can achieve that goal

Overall, I prefer to call this as "BT-8 Thunderclap". As it's not only the prototype of the final design, but they managed to perfect the PT design and put it to the test. Hence the BT-8 is born. Just a minor RP touch.

I thought about a few things.
> Crew: 15
- Pilot
- Co-pilot; Can fire the main cannons, which is #1
- Navigation officer
- Communication officer
- Gunners; Two person. They control the #1a turrets
- Captain; Prefers to be on the bridge most of the time
- Protocol droid; Only one
- Engineers; Two person. Their main post is the engine room
- Astromech; Just one, to help the engineers
- Medical droids; Four is present on the ship, 2 / medbay

> Informations
- Heavy laser cannon; 2
- Ion cannon; 2 (above the heavy laser cannons)
- Heavy dual turrets; 2 (#1a )
- Torpedo launcher; 4 (under the bridge, at the boarding ramp and just above the bridge)
- Speed is 1.000 km/h

> Support craft
Which would fit into one of the #15?

In the case of the Kalakar, there would be 2 laser cannons to fight back (those black squares). It has equipped shielding and life support. Even Class 2 hyperdrive, but that would be an overkill IMO. The laser cannons are more visible on the one like this.

Well, you’re close, there’s actually 3 barrels on each side, 2 main heavy laser cannons obviously, but there is also a set underneath the big barrels.  The barrels on top and bottom are supposed to be modular so you can swap out for varying missions while the big barrels are part of the hull.

You have to understand, I designed the original three, the XS, the BT-7P and the X70B Variant for a Star wars book I'm attempting to write.  I really haven’t set up the information for any of the ships I built which I should, though I do have a list.  Been too busy with work.  I'll update the descriptions of them for you when i get off work since you seem so interested.

Thanks. So uhm, which is the better to have in the ship as a support fighter?

Honestly?  Neither imo.  To me the design of the BT-7 and my BT-7P is not really one of aerial dog fighting even though in TOR that is basically what you use it for.  I'm unfortunately placing real world thoughts and design practices onto something fictional which doesn't always go the right way, but with the hull of the BT-7 being as armored as it seems and the way the whole thing is set up with one main open ramp leading to a prep area with a holo emitter and briefing room, the thing was designed to do basically what I'm describing militarily and act as a drop ship of sorts. Punch through enemy lines no matter the fortification and offload its cargo.  In this case that would mean that the large cargo bays would be full of supplies or even items like several speeders or the RT walkers or some other thing like the mounts that show up in TOR.

Now that I also imagine that the cargo bay elevators can also split inwards and open into space with a shield in place doing like what the ghost did in rebels to refuel the Y wings.

I also have another idea which is more suitable
> Vehicle bay #1
Has 4 of these walkers

> Vehicle bay #2
Has 4 of these speeder bikes

that's basically the idea, gets to the ground, drops it's troops, supplies and equipment and either takes off or stays to support in various ways
