One Ring to rule them all,One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness bind them.
It's done!
I had so much fun drawing this one! I watched the Hobbit in December, and I just knew I had to draw something for it!
It's definitely one of, if not the most, time-consuming drawings I've ever done.
The size is A2. that is 420 x 594 mm (16.5 x 23.4 in)
LOTR is pretty much the most amazing film ever made, and the Hobbit was right up there.
Now for some thoughts from me about this image.
The idea was to show how the ring brings all these people together in it's evil way. I could have used Frodo instead of Bilbo, but i just loved Martin Freeman so much that i had to use him. At least it is a hobbit.
Mars Lumograph graphite pencils and Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils.
I hope you guys like it!
One pencil was killed in the making of this drawing, and one badly injured.

Absolutely breathtaking! You have SO much talent. SERIOUSLY. It looks like stills from the films have been taken and put in black and white! You're amazing.
I feel sorry for the poor pencils. But they died for a valiant cause.

The ring is the center of attention among the three characters. The overall image truly stands out from the crowd. The expressions are real and the ring being golden colored makes an instant impact on the viewers.
I'd say, it is a brilliant portrayal of emotions and the story.
