One Ring to rule them all,One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness bind them.
It's done!
I had so much fun drawing this one! I watched the Hobbit in December, and I just knew I had to draw something for it!
It's definitely one of, if not the most, time-consuming drawings I've ever done.
The size is A2. that is 420 x 594 mm (16.5 x 23.4 in)
LOTR is pretty much the most amazing film ever made, and the Hobbit was right up there.
Now for some thoughts from me about this image.
The idea was to show how the ring brings all these people together in it's evil way. I could have used Frodo instead of Bilbo, but i just loved Martin Freeman so much that i had to use him. At least it is a hobbit.
Mars Lumograph graphite pencils and Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils.
I hope you guys like it!
One pencil was killed in the making of this drawing, and one badly injured.

This. Is. Magnificent!
I think, in a way, using Bilbo was better than using Frodo since it was he that came across the ring, which eventually led to Frodo having it. Awesome work, and this is just a poor comment to express it and I'd probably do a much better job at it if I weren't so tired.

No pun intended but it's a brilliant work! The first to strike [me] is the ring... all in nuances and contrasts, just perfect! Next is Gollum... just perfect! You have that little something when it comes to eyes and you've rendered his cute-looking dark soul just right. Verdict: fave!

That is beautiful! You really are one of the most amazing portrait artists I've ever seen O-O And that ring pops right out of the picture! I don't even know if I can critique this in any way... Bilbo's hair looks rather greasy and unwashed. But then again, he's on a road trip, so I guess maybe that was the intention? I don't even know what to say. This is just amazing. But "this is amazing" seems like such a dumb and underwhelming thing to say XD
