     "Ok, then. Do you have any specific memory of training Elsa?" Andy continued with the interview. For a second Kara´s eyes averted to the floor, then she was back in the game. She wasn't going to tell the truth here either.
     "You need to understand that the Malibu Team isn't like most teams, they have a very hierarchic order. You have the twenty team members that ride in their ordinary silks and then you have the other five members that ride in the numbered silks. The internal ranking decides who gets which silks, and you get a better rank by winning the training races held at their stable every fifteenth day. It's a very competitive team. However, since the internal ranking races are on stable cats and you can't decide which you ride unless you are in the top five it's much harder to be ranked in the top five than to stay in the top five."
     "So it took you a while to become in the top five."
   "No, it's the reason I was ranked 5 and not 1 the first week." She knew she sounded snobbish, but she never liked their system. She had managed to go from never raced to fifth ranking, and that kind of leap was unusual in the team. Her team members had blamed it on luck, and been mean. When she was to decide what cat to train, a privilege of the fifth highest ranked riders, it was common that those above you kept their cats they were already training and you didn't take the previous ranked members cat. That way no one got too mad. However, when she got to be fifth, she said she wanted to train Elsa, who joined the team the same week, on pure luck. At the same time the rider ranked second dropped his cat to take Elsa, just to spite Kara. He didn't even train Elsa, just let her stand there and didn't ride, as an insult to Kara. Kara had hated him for it, and in the end, she rode Elsa anyway, in the middle of the night. "I had to be number one to get to ride Elsa. Training her was nice, but I have no specific memory of a training." She had a million memories of that cat. But none she wanted to share. One time, that first week, they had taken a nice stroll through the night and on a field, they had gotten in the middle of a million fireflies. It was one of her all-time favorite shedu-memories.

This takes place before The Love of Fangs, Claws and Speed so this is a kind of prologue. And it's about Kara's first love ^^ If you want to really get to know Kara, read the whole interview
