The rest of my family is Catholic and they all support it too. Besides, just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I have to shut out new and beneficial ideas and opinions and that I can't learn from life experience.Related content

Do you think God just suddenly changed his mind about morality? Because it's always been the same to Him: acting upon same sex attraction sinful. It's hard to claim adherence to Catholicism at the same time as saying you're open to new ideas. Β

I'm trying to understand your point of view, not attack your person. If you don't want to explain that to me, that's fine. It's just seems like an atheist saying that he believes religion is the source of all goodness in the world; it seems very contradictory to one of the core aspects of atheism (or at least one that 99.9% of atheists take in one degree or another).Β
Remember, I don't want to make you angry. I'm just trying to understand what you believe. Forgive me if I came off as rude.Β

There's more to Christianity than hating gays. It seems insignificant to me. If God doesn't like it, I'll let him judge.

GamziMakr In reply to AClockworkKitten [2013-09-07 04:47:54 +0000 UTC]
Nothing about true Christianity advocates hating anyone. In fact, the whole point of Christianity is LOVING everyone. And you assume that just because one votes against same sex marriage, they hate gays. That's a stretch. There ARE people who do that, but not all of them. Most of them because they feel marriage is between a man and a woman.Β
Regardless, my point is that Catholicism states that God has declared marriage to be between a man and a woman. You claim to be Catholic. Do you just pick and choose what tenets of Catholicism you adhere to? I'm just confused.Β

Not even your Christian belief.Β I think it's really low to make an anti-something art like that...
Well, yes, I do feel disappointment in you for kept picking on her here... for she support gay people.Β But, do you realize the group has some non-Christians, don't you? And a couple of GLBT members? That's why it's important is respect other people who don't always share the same beliefs and thoughts...Β

A true Christian would not support anything that goes defiles something of their Lord's sacred word. By the way, I didn't call Zhane the pope. For the record, I have decided to stop mocking the Catholics at the request of a friend of my family, Chaplain Buechuam. I was merely attacking one for claiming they were a Christian and supporting gays. Were that person a non-Christian it would be another story, since they don't live by the Scriptures. By the way, I know what you Pagans did to my Christians in Rome.

Nothing.
My point is that my issue is you who pick on AClockworkKitten as Christian because you don't agree with her pro-gay view. What if you meet a Christian who happens to have two gay parents? Whether his or her parents are Christians or not.Β
If you believe every child must have two mom and dad for being a good Christian, then what about a child who raised with aunt, uncle, grandparent, single parent, or even sibling? Are they terrible parents/persons for being not good Christian enough?Β
I happened to be child of single mom. Even I got nasty comments from Christians for my mom being not good Christian... That's something I never understand.

You really need to look up for statistic datas on gay families who lost their children. Taking their kids is done by heavy damage. They may be scarred for life.
Some children do not want to sleep on their beds alone because they are so afraid of losing their beloved parents. They'll sleep on floor or on some sofa in their parents' bedroom. It do happen. It's no different from some workers take disabled people's kids away because of their disability. They are SCARRED for short term, or even, for life. I feel under impressive that you're okay with damaging gay families. That's plainly so wrong on many levels...
Well, I realize you don't see that way. So, we will just agree to disagree on that gay families, by then...
