Hello again! As you may quickly notice, the medicine cat code I will using for Eye of the Storm is very different from the one used in the official Warriors series. The biggest changes were to the first few rules, which cover medicine cats taking on mates and having kits. I made these changes for two reasons: (1) I’ve always thought these particular rules were dumb and unfair and (2) they will have plot relevance and needed to be adjusted to better accommodate the themes and topics I want to cover. In addition to changing the first few rules, I also reworded and elaborated on some of the other rules. I also got rid of the “a medicine cat will give his or her life to save a cat” rule because it felt too extreme and also seems to romanticize needless self-sacrifice (which is a theme I plan to cover, so I don’t want to contradict myself or send conflicting messages).
