Description
I´ve painted this picture months ago for the Megadeth design contest. In addition to it, I made two seperate skulls (which I put into the painting in a computer programme). Back then I made a third (fourth) version but I only drew the outlines of it - because there weren´t time enough to finish it before the deadline.Now I finally found the time to paint this skull and put it into the old painting.
The contest is over (and I didn´t win) but I do like this version (because it´s very different to the other ones) so I post it here - just for my own and (hopefully) your pleasure.

Great rendition of a revamped Vic. I'd prefer yours to the one they went with. The winner's (which I thought was cool too) didn't make the cover either. I guess Dave never could set anything in stone. You never know he might use yours on the remasters in 10 or 20. Can't wait to hear the album tomorrow I really liked the last one. I just wish they would do a full throttle Speed Metal album again. Anyway Nice Vic!!!

I like what I´ve heard from the actual album (it seems to have more speed than the recent ones), though I haven´t bought a new Megadeth CD for about the last 15 years - haha!

i dont really care for the subject [matter] and usually dont look at many "macabre" art, but this one struck me. the detail and level of skill put into this is absolutely marvelous. i applaud your work and encourage you to keep it up!

Absolutely stunning work, once again. You're quick becoming one of my favorite deviants. The only thing I noticed that seemed somewhat off was the bone from the upper jaw flowing back above that strap with the green glow on it. It looks almost a little too defined from the rest of the skull to be realistic, almost like an ear of some sort instead of a bone extension. Perhaps it bends too sharply? But, if I weren't looking specifically for something to improve on, I wouldn't have noticed at all. Wonderful work! And nifty concept, as well... It's just amazing to look at what you do with acrylics.
