Ha! Well he might calm down, and many cat's I've known have, but this one certainly never will. However, I took her on last year to save her from the rescue centre so maybe she's just set in her ways.

She does love me, but she thinks she owns me as well, so I'll want to get up in make tea or something and she's all like "OBJECTION" and then she tries to explain to me with her teeth and claws why I shouldn't do that.

Or she'll hang around by my feet mewing sweetly, indicating that she'd like to be picked up (which is true, 9/10 times), and then when I pick her up there's this blood-chilling moment when she locks eyes with me and thinks, "Now you've done it". It's like I've put my arm in a food mixer, and of course no matter how painful it is I can't drop her because she might get hurt so I just have to put up with it until I can get her down safely.

On the plus side, in two summers she has not got fleas. I think she might be too angry for fleas. That's good, because I certainly don't want to have to treat her with Frontline.

So that's your future. Maybe.

Oh noooooo, the part about locking eyes ahahahah, that's him! He'll purr, lock eyes with me, then grab my hand/ arm, bite, and run away playfully while I double over in pain :/

I'm thinking about getting him neutered, I heard it makes some cats a little less crazy.....though I've also heard some never change.
He's an inside cat too, so if he's crazy now he might be even more crazy when he's older (since he might be bored to tears). He's already tried to get outside many times...

UGH, I really hope he settles down with age

Neutering can make a difference to some of the behaviours of the males, especially if you don't leave it too long, but there's no guarantee. He will slow down of course, and spend more of his day relaxing, just through maturity. I've never had indoor cats, but I expect he'd need a bit more activity than most.

Maybe you could wear an oven glove so that he could fight your arm safely, like the padded gear police dog trainers use? In all seriousness, one of my friends was going mad with her young indoor cat in Brooklyn, so I suggested finding a soft toy cat for him to wrestle (on the basis that until recently he'd had brothers and sisters to play with, and no wonder he was attacking her as the only living thing). It might have been pure luck, but that worked perfectly; she found a cat at IKEA called Gosig Katt [link] which was big enough to hold and move without her hand getting caught in his claws when he fought it. Soon he would just go and drag the soft toy onto the floor when he wanted something to fight, and she finally got some peace!

I had a look at the picture on your blog. He is a very cute thug.
