I've spent some considerable time trying to figure out how to do one of these things. Granted, there are many different versions, each with their own unique appearance, but this one happens to be MY style. I happen to be quite proud of it both for its clean, simplistic appearance and the ease with which it can be created, and I hope you'll like it too.

As stated in the tutorial, this was done in the GIMP, but Photoshop users shouldn't have too much trouble adjusting my instructions.
