Beautiful. The lighting and the muted colors are very well done. I love the looseness of the brush strokes.

I really want to learn how to paint the correct way as you do! Photoshop can only do so much. Then you realize that unless you know the basics of color theory, light values, and good composition do you start going back to traditional methods. Thanks for reminding me of what I should of done years ago.

I've been painting for three years now, this was done back in April of this year. This one was done in one layer, like the majority of my paintings have been and still usually are. I've been allowing more time to paint over successive layers recently.

Very lovely portrait--the lighting is spot-on, the muted color scheme is effective, and the framing of the subject is just right. Great work!

I really enjoy this. Nice palette, solid technique. I love how parts of you seem to just fade away into the background. And holding the watch with that neutral expression, it's like you're waiting to be complete.
Really cool.
